Their Aim:
To increase community awareness of the issues surrounding females
through conversations and address the need of a ‘directory
of information and links’ that is ‘female specific’ and in the ‘one place’
Brand New Day is made up of three main components
Their website www.brandnewday.org.au is a directory of
information and links to services giving females answers, resources to use and
hope; creating opportunities to influence health outcomes and ability to access
healthcare services and other services systems and to keep females informed;
improving their own, their families and their communities health and wellbeing,
and social inclusion.
Their events and speaking
opportunities aim to increase community awareness of the issues surrounding
females through conversations; issues that involve a good number of households
within our communities. Their events and pamper days create the
opportunity to allow females to share their stories, and enable opportunities
to understand and provide a greater service long term.
Their programs structure of
personal development, self esteem, life skills, goal setting and parenting
provide a safe, supportive and encouraging forum for participants to identify
their strengths and their opportunities; empowering females to a greater sense
of self and ownership of self.
They believe all females deserve to ‘Be and Feel’ Safe, Well and Happy.
It is a given right to have the opportunity to resources that could provide
that.
Their service
will provide a wider range of resources to expertise and interest from a wide
range of people and groups who are able to provide effective and positive
input.
Together as a community we can encourage and
inspire our women of today and shape our women of tomorrow.
